Queen Camilla’s Dog Bluebell: Breed, Age, and More

Queen Camilla’s love for dogs is a well-known fact. The fans of the Queen are eager to know all about her pooch Bluebell who has made public appearances on various occasions. Here is everything we know about Queen Camilla’s Dog’s age and breed.

How old is Queen Camilla’s dog Bluebell?

The age of Queen Camilla’s dog Bluebell is not known as the pooch is a rescue dog. But rest assured, the royal adores her pet canine.

Queen Camilla adopted Bluebell from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in September 2012, a year after adopting her late fur baby, Beth. In a past interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, speaking about her pets Queen Camilla said, “Along I went to Battersea, and Beth appeared, and she had just been moved from pillar to post and dumped. We thought it would be nice for her to have a friend. They found [Bluebell] two or three weeks later, wandering about in woods, no hair on her, covered in sores, virtually dead. And they nursed her back to life and her hair grew again. She’s very sweet, but a tiny bit neurotic, shall we say.” Bluebell was just 4 weeks old when she was found dumped in a London park.

What breed is Queen Camilla’s dog Bluebell?

The breed of Queen Camilla dog is a Jack Russell Terrier. These happy, healthy little dogs weigh around 9-15 pounds and are usually upbeat, lively, inquisitive, and friendly. The life expectancy of this breed is 12-14 years.

Over the years, both Beth and Bluebell have joined Queen Camilla at various engagements. From photo shoots to visiting multiple centers, the pets have always accompanied Her Majesty.

The Queen again made the headlines by adopting an eight-week-old rescue puppy named Moley in February from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, where she has been the patron since 2016.
