Video: Dalmatian Carefully Spends His Hard-Earned Pet Influencer Paycheck

It’s a tough job being adorable for the internet, but someone’s gotta do it. Ryder the Dalmatian has been busy curating content, charming followers, and collecting the occasional brand check along the way. Recently, his “salary” came in, and unlike most humans, Ryder knew exactly how to stretch his budget. And by stretch, we mean pull, chew, and squeak until the cows (or plush pigs) come home.

Dalmatian spends his pet influencer paycheck on toys and treats in video

Ryder, a Dalmatian with 53.8K Instagram followers, recently took a trip to PetSmart to spend his “influencer” earnings of $85.27. His owner, Sandra Macedo, documented the entire shopping spree for his fans. The video opens with text on screen announcing his budget before showing Ryder and Sandra walking into the store together.

Their first stop was the toy section, where Ryder carefully examined each option with slow, deliberate sniffs. After testing out a few plushies and squeakers, he settled on a pig plush. Sandra also picked out a tug toy, noting Ryder’s love for a good game of tug-of-war. She briefly grabbed a ball as well, but when Ryder’s disinterest was clear, it went right back on the shelf.

From there, it was on to the treats aisle, the highlight of the trip for Ryder. His tail wagged nonstop as he looked up at Sandra, seemingly encouraging her to grab every package within reach. She chose a tender turkey stew, explaining she planned to make him a “fun toppl” with it later.

At checkout, Ryder’s shopping instincts kicked in again when he spotted milk bones at the counter. According to Sandra, he “knows where they keep the milk bones” and needed a gentle nudge to move along. By the end of the trip, the total came to $76.97, leaving Ryder with a few dollars to spare. The video concludes with him happily playing with his new pig toy at home, while Sandra quips, “He worked so hard for his money.”

What’s more, Ryder’s little shopping spree had fans cheering him on from behind their screens. One person laughed, “I love watching Ryder get to spend that cashhh.” Meanwhile, another confessed they were doing their part for the cause: “I’m watching this a few times so they get more money to shop.” A third viewer nailed the mood of the day with, “Work hard, get toys to play harder.” Even PetSmart chimed in with their own seal of approval, writing, “Ryder has the best taste.”

Ryder may not be thinking about brand strategies or engagement rates, but he certainly knows how to enjoy the rewards.
