It all started with a tiny sapling, a knitted pumpkin hat, and one very determined dog. In a video shared by @good.boy.ollie, everyone’s favorite chocolate-coated gardener is back with an update we didn’t know we needed. Ollie, the Labrador, who once planted his very own pumpkin patch, is finally revealing the results. The Reel opens with a flashback of him proudly carrying a basket with the little plant inside. Five months later, it is finally time to harvest, and it’s pure, autumnal joy.
Dog proudly shows off his harvested pumpkin patch in video
With nearly 400K likes, this video of the dog and his pumpkin patch clearly hit the cozy corner of the internet. It cuts to a montage of Ollie’s hard work. He digs a neat little hole for his sapling, then gently waters it with a hose held in his mouth like a true pro. “He’s waited,” the text on the screen reads. We see him watching the patch through the window, lying among the big green leaves, practically counting the days until something sprouted.
Then, finally, the big reveal. We see Ollie excitedly jump up on his human’s belly, giving the clear signal that it is “go time.” The camera pans across the patch, confirming the leaves have died away, but “we finally have pumpkins.” And then fans finally see the patch bursting with orange.
Ollie stands proudly beside the crop, tail wagging, before something catches his attention — a tiny baby pumpkin hiding in the corner. Naturally, he claims it as his own, resting a paw on it possessively.
Moments later, we see him trotting through the neighborhood with the baby pumpkin in a basket, orange bow tie and all, ready to show it off to anyone who cared to look. As we see him sitting by his basket, the camera pans up to a notice board revealing the bigger plan: a sign for the “Village Show” vegetable competition, with the in-video text hinting, “Shall we?”
As one fan perfectly pointed out, “The world is on fire, but for one moment on the internet, Ollie has his pumpkin patch and everything feels okay.”
