Video: ‘Exhausted’ Dog Finds New ‘Dock Diving’ Sport To Love

In this sweet video, when Woody’s mom leans down to kiss his sleepy head, you can tell the day’s been a big one. The Labrador’s fur is still damp, his eyes half-open, and every pore in him seems to be contented. In a TikTok posted by @the.lab.woody, Woody’s mom explains that he’s just come back from trying dock diving for the first time, and truly, he looks like a very proud (and slightly soggy) athlete. For anyone who’s followed Woody’s earlier videos, you’ll know this is the same goofball famous for his many weird little quirks; so watching him discover a sport that channels all that energy feels like a full-circle moment.

After getting nearly 3,000 likes, this feel-good video has already become a fan favorite. It quickly goes from post-adventure snuggles to a highlight reel of Woody absolutely crushing it at the dock. On command, he takes off down the ramp with full focus and launches himself gleefully into the water like it’s his life’s calling. Then, tail wagging, he paddles to fetch his toy and scrambles back up the ramp again, ready for round two. And three. And four. It’s pure joy on repeat, the kind that makes you grin without realizing it.

At one point, after an especially big leap, Woody pauses to shake out the water from every inch of his fur, sending droplets flying in every direction. Then, with his signature brand of chaos, he rolls around in the gravel beside the dock like he’s recharging for the next splash. The camera catches him later mid-plop — toy still in his mouth — too tired to jump, but clearly having the time of his life.

By the end, he’s back home, sprawled out and half-asleep on his bed. His mom’s voice comes through softly: “You sleepy now?” Yes. Very. But as one commenter wrote, “He should be exhausted by now — but HAPPY!” And you can see that written all over his face.
