In his speech he delivered after winning re-election for President of the United States, Barack Obama gave a shout out to his daughters, and said it was unlikely the First Dog, Bo, would have a companion in the White House during his second four-year term.

“And I’m so proud of you guys,” Obama said of his daughters, Sasha and Malia. “But I will say that for now one dog’s probably enough.”
Bo, a Portuguese Water Dog, was a gift from the Kennedy family to the Obamas in 2009 — much to the chagrin of animal-rights supporters who were hoping the First Family would adopt a shelter dog.
You can keep track of Bo’s thoughts and activities on his blog, Obama’s Dog.
