Dogs have a far better sense of smell than we do, so if your water is full of chemicals and other yucky stuff, your dog might be turned off to the very thing she needs most. Dogs may get more excited about food than water, but they can survive longer without food than they can without water.
To help your best friend stay hydrated, provide filtered or oxygenated water. My dogs didn’t seem to drink more with these fountains, but I’ve always used filtered water and changed it daily.
If you have a chewer, get a cord cover from the hardware store for a water fountain to protect your dog from himself.
