Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day: 6 Homemade Biscuit Recipes To Celebrate!

Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day is celebrated on February 23rd, and it’s a perfect time to surprise your pup with some yummy biscuits to celebrate. Sometimes it can be hard to tell what kinds of dog biscuits to buy from the store, so you may want to try making some homemade treats for your pup, instead.

Here are a few recipes that will have your dog barking their appreciation for Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day!

Before you start, just remember that these biscuits are sometimes-treats for special occasions, and they aren’t meant to replace your dog’s normal diet. Be careful, and ask your vet before introducing your dog to new foods. Take a look at the ingredients for anything your dog might be allergic to, and make good choices.

1. Cranberry Cookies

What you need:

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Beat the eggs in a bowl and set them aside. In another bowl, mix the almond flour, coconut oil, and dried cranberries. Stir in the eggs. Add coconut flour in small bits at a time until the dough can be rolled into a ball.

Roll the dough, then use a cookie cutter or a spoon to form it into cookie shapes and bake on a parchment-lined cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are crisp.
