California shelters to ring in National Puppy Day with fun events

With National Puppy Day on March 23, excitement is brewing across the nation. In the Tri-Valley area, local shelters are embracing the occasion with a lineup of adoption, fostering, and workshop events, as Danville San Ramon reports. These events are all geared toward finding loving homes for puppies.

East Bay SPCA warmly invites community members seeking to expand their family with a furry friend to explore adoption. They are offering comprehensive packages covering essential services like spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and registration. Additionally, they are offering discounts on training classes.

The organization representatives emphasized the invaluable role of fostering young puppies not yet ready for adoption. They said, “Fostering is a great way to temporarily care for puppies who are too young to enter our adoption program. East Bay SPCA needs more foster families who can help care for puppies in a warm, loving home.”

Moreover, they elaborated that the organization offers all necessary supplies, medical care, and training support to foster families. This ensures these families have everything they need to provide excellent care for the puppies.

Another shelter, Tri-Valley Animal Rescue in Dublin, eagerly seeks to unite puppies with caring families. Thus, they are hosting dog adoptions at Dublin PetSmart West, 6990 Amador Plaza Road, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, Mar. 23.

In addition, the Valley Humane Society (VHS) will conduct a fostering workshop on Tuesday, March 26, at 5 p.m. Organizers state that during the “Foster an Animal” event, VHS staff will provide guidance on basic animal care and outline typical expectations for participants.
