Starved Dog Has ‘Won the Lottery’ After Overcoming Fear in Tear-Jerking Video

A TikTok user named Mark (@markontheranch) is winning the hearts of dog lovers worldwide after he saved the life of a starved stray. The canine appeared to have wandered into his farm on a sunny day. The man already had a pet pup named Luna, who ran towards him with full force as soon as she spotted him roaming around. However, when she realized he wasn’t a threat, she kept a watch from a distance instead of attacking.

As soon as Mark noticed the dog’s bony body, he prepared a bowl of food for him. However, the dog was visibly scared and refused to come close. All the while, Luna kept a close eye on him. Eventually, his hunger won over his fear. He mustered up some courage and ate his food. As he started to trust Mark’s intentions, he followed him.

Mark put out some more food and water for the starved stray dog. Soon, the dog won over Mark’s heart, and he decided to rescue him and named him Roman. Since then, Mark has uploaded a series of videos updating viewers on Roman’s recovery journey.

With Mark’s love, care, and frequent vet visits, the rescued dog regained his health. Roman also has grown fond of his rescuer and is often seen snuggling up to him. Although his recovery journey was challenging, it was equally rewarding. Mark mentions that Roman was hurting, but his condition continues to improve with each passing day. The worms are gone, and his personality has improved. Roman has also started to feel a lot more comfortable in his new home as he has started to chew on furniture and blankets.

One of the problems Mark faced was that Roman kept relieving himself inside the house. Mark promises not to give up on him and patiently disciplines him. He noted that progress takes time, but consistency is key when it comes to training a companion animal.
