Amanda Seyfried Credits Rescue Dog Finn for Helping Her Through Tough Times

Amanda Seyfried recently revealed how her rescue dog made her life so much better. Her Australian Shepherd, Finn, gave her life purpose, and she couldn’t imagine her 20s without her pup. Seyfried’s furry friend made her Hollywood journey much easier, with the actor revealing he was the reason she stayed out of trouble.

How rescue dog Finn helped Amanda Seyfried find stability in Hollywood

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Amanda Seyfried opened up about her rescue dog’s pivotal role in her life. Finn not only changed her life but also gave it purpose. She told the magazine how humans need a “purpose” and feel the “responsibility” to take care of animals who can’t speak now can they “really do much for themselves.” However, Seyfried believes that as pet parents, “it gives you so much more than we could ever give them.”

The actor also noted that she had no idea how her 20s would have shaped out if she didn’t have Finn to come home to. Seyfried revealed that knowing her rescue dog was waiting for her back home kept her “out of a lot of trouble” in Hollywood. However, if not for him, her life could have turned out differently when she was navigating the challenging aspects of Hollywood.

The 38-year-old brought home the Aussie while filming “Big Love.” It didn’t take Seyfried long to figure out she needed him just as much as Finn needed her. The pup helped her come to terms and enjoy her solitude, making her all the more independent. Finn was a foster fail, as the actor had brought him home, intending to find a forever home for him. Little did they know that both of them had already met their forever family.

Seyfried recently celebrated Finn’s 15th birthday, sharing an Instagram carousel to mark the occasion. The post included adorable photos of Finn on his own and posing with his human for cute selfies. It also included a sweet image of the duo on the beach, capturing a candid bonding moment.
