A video of a rescue dog recently proved the power of resilience and survival with the help of loving humans from a rescue community. A canine named Boden unfortunately became a victim of an explosion, barely making it alive after already living in harsh conditions previously. However, his foster humans were determined to save him. After receiving the love and care he needed, the dog defeated death to become healthy and an inspiration.
Instagram video captures rescue dog’s resilience and will to survive
Rescue dog Boden became the epitome of resilience and strength after surviving the harshest conditions life had to offer. The Instagram account @friendsfurryhome shared the canine’s story with a moving video, describing his journey as he fought for his life but eventually healed because of his will to survive. The rescue carried an “unimaginable” story, and a recent accident only made it worse.
The rescue community shared that Boden lived most of his life “attached to a short, heavy chain in deplorable outdoor conditions.” On top of that, he caught fire due to an explosion that left him burning alive. The canine was unable to escape because of the chains around him. The Instagram account further revealed that the dog tried his best to survive, arriving at rescue care with swelling due to the force of trying to free himself from the chains.
Boden was brought to NC State for emergency “live saving” medical care and spent two weeks there. The video accompanying the post captured a severely bruised Boden arriving at the care center and receiving treatment. With a dog cone around his neck and several bandages treating his wound, he began healing. The rescue community revealed that it wasn’t an easy journey to save his life, but he had a “rally of people fighting for that chance.”
The video captured foster parents and nurses caring for him, showering him with love, and checking his bruises. Boden “fought the hardest,” showing that his journey had just begun. The dog showcased the ultimate example of survival, proving that he’s much more than his past. The Instagram account also shared that Boden is now looking for his forever home, a place that would “spoil him rotten and show him how good life can be.”
