Dog Is a ‘Karen’ With ‘Strict Instructions’ in Hilarious Video

A dog named Pumpkin is stealing hearts while giving strict breakfast instructions to her owner in an Instagram video. The corgi proves she is not a general, laid-back pet. In fact, her owner suspects she might be a “Karen.” With the careful pacing as her human prepares breakfast, Pumpkin expects things to be done a certain way, like she knows what she deserves.

Dog has some very ‘strict instructions’ for her breakfast in funny video

Pumpkin the corgi’s video has been garnering attention on social media. In the Instagram video, the dog intently watches her owner prepare breakfast, chiming in with strict instructions for the meal. Pumpkin almost manages the kitchen, with the exception that the owner does the primary work. Meanwhile, the expressive dog oversees the owner’s moves, almost as though coaching the human.

Pumpkin’s owner, and the video creator, addresses the hilarious situation in the caption. After quipping, “Is my corgi a Karen?” the caption explains why the pup might have assumed she was the boss. The caption continues, “Ngl sometimes I do ask her ‘would you like one scoop or two’ with her supplements, so it’s become a ‘bit’ that we’re just in far too deep to stop now.” Hence, what supposedly started as a joke eventually became a ritual.

The video shows that Pumpkin likes being asked for input, and she does not step back from giving it. Picking up a routine and turning it into a performance, like many pets, Pumpkin is not letting the cooking standards fall. A fellow pet owner jokes in the comments, “The customer is always right,” while another viewer writes, “She protests politely.”

The video ends with a high-five between Pumpkin and the owner, making her an example of how a simple breakfast preparation can become a fun process if dogs like Pumpkin are present to chime in with their strict instructions.
