Pets get attached to individuals they share their space with, much like humans do. In a video uploaded earlier this month, a dog got especially attached to a baby who grew up alongside him. However, when it was time for the boy to start school, the pup naturally started missing his sibling. Moreover, his owners noticed that the canine often reminisced by hanging out at spots where the duo spent their time together.
Husky misses the boy he spent time with when he was a baby
In a video from earlier this month, a pair of Los Angeles-based dog owners captured how their Siberian Husky, Theo, couldn’t help but miss his baby “brother” once he started going to school. After spending all their time together for years, the canine started missing his sibling. However, the boy had now grown into a toddler and had to leave home to attend classes.
The Husky naturally missed having his sibling “by his side all day.” In addition, he made sure the world knew how much he missed his brother by howling as he sat in the spot where they often spent their time together. Throughout the first half of the video, the dog was captured lounging on the couch where he spent time with his baby brother.
However, the pup didn’t have to wait too long before he had another tiny human to accompany him. The owners soon found out that they were pregnant. This meant Theo would have another little one to accompany him. The canine “nested” with his mom and became an integral part of her pregnancy.
The couple made sure to incorporate him into every milestone of their pregnancy journey. In one of the clips, the Husky could be seen devouring a dog-friendly cake during their gender reveal. Not only did he wait “patiently” for nine months, but he also “loyally” stayed by his mom’s side throughout. After waiting for quite some time, the dog finally got to meet his baby sister.
Now the pup is back to helping his parents raise their little one. The video ended with some adorable clips of the Husky chilling alongside his sister. Netizens couldn’t help but gush over how “sweet” Theo was, with one of them exclaiming, “I’m not crying over a strangers puppy.”
