There is always that one friend who absolutely refuses to be left out of anything. If there’s a party, they’re going. If you made plans without them, prepare for passive-aggressive comments. Dogs apparently have that friend, too, and his name is Albie. A viral video making the rounds on Instagram captures the Dachshund’s priceless reaction to being left out of the action for all of 15 seconds, and honestly, the dog might be more relatable than most people we know.
Dog owner shares Dachshund ‘doesn’t like being left out of anything’
Cuda, Soly, and Albie are three sibling Dachshunds living in Los Angeles. The trio has built quite a following on Instagram under the handle @houseofsausage. In a recent clip, a hilarious moment unfolds when the two older pups, Cuda and Soly, are unwrapping gifts together. While they are fully focused on the excitement of tearing through wrapping paper, their younger brother, Albie, suddenly storms into the frame and lets out a loud bark, perhaps offended that the fun started without him.
Startled, both Cuda and Soly pause and whip their heads around to look at Albie as if caught red-handed in the act of leaving him out. The short clip is made even funnier with the on-screen text that reads, “my youngest dachshund has intense FOMO and doesn’t like being left out of anything.”
Since it was posted, the video has racked up an impressive 9.3 million views and over 971K likes. That said, it is the comments section that really shows how much viewers connected with Albie’s dramatic reaction. One person imagined his inner monologue, writing, “He said IS IT FUN?!?…..IS IT FUN WITHOUT ME HUH.” Another added, “The way the other dogs looked at him.”
One commenter shared the chaos the video caused in their own home. “My furbabies heard every bark… now I have two barking babies. It must have been a distress signal,” they said. And perhaps the most relatable line came from someone who wrote, “When y’all are normally a trio and you catch them duoing.” For anyone who’s ever been the third wheel, Albie’s outrage was all too real.
