Dogs love to play fetch with frisbees. In one such video on Instagram, a senior dog’s fondness for the toy is evident as he diligently looks for it in a pond. The German Shorthaired Pointer confuses the lily pads in the pond with frisbees and investigates the floating leaves closely. In the clip, the owner explains, “My old boy getting some exercise and confirming whether these are lily pads or frisbees.” The short clip shows the good boy swimming leisurely while trying to clear his personal doubts, and it is probably one of the most adorable videos on the internet.
Instagram video shows senior dog diligently searching for his frisbee
A recent Instagram video features a senior German Shorthaired Pointer searching for his frisbee in a pond. In the caption of the post, which has over 44K likes, the owner mentions that the dog is “14 years old, but he will always be my baby boy.” Due to the pooch’s health issue, the paw parent has been making him exercise in a pond.
It reads, “I’ve been taking him swimming a lot lately with the floaty jacket bc his hips are too bad to swim without assistance.” The owner further informs, “He can’t run very well anymore and falls down a lot, so I think he feels really happy and free when he’s paddling around the pond.”
The cute video begins with the dog paddling his tiny paws and grabbing lily pads with his mouth. The German Shorthaired Pointer releases the leaves when he realizes they are not frisbees. He also grabs the boating pad and has the same reaction. Towards the end, the senior dog swims away, flaunting his “Tail propeller turbo boost.”
Viewers thoroughly enjoyed the senior dog frisbee video. Expressing the canine’s thoughts, a user wrote, “Honestly it’s rude that none of them are frisbees.” Another mentioned, “If not frisbee, why frisbee-shaped?” One praised, “Oh how nice for your senior doggo! I bet he just loves that!” while a viewer said, “The lil pieces he munched off floating after him are adorable.”
Additionally, the owner acted upon one of the comments — “Give that good boy a frisbee immediately.” After a few days, the pet parent uploaded another video, in which the senior dog was gifted a new frisbee. It mentioned that the German Shorthaired Pointer’s name is Remi.
