There’s nothing your furbaby isn’t capable of learning — except walking on water — if you know the right teaching approach. With an endless supply of toys and gadgets for your pets on the market, they’ve become less reliant and strive to do things on their own. Believe it or not, but some even love to go on solo walks and make their own beds. This dog mom taught her Golden Retriever how to use the food dispenser in a viral TikTok video. The clip showed Winston’s chaotic way of learning the simplest tasks because you can never be too suspicious.
Golden Retriever’s new food dispenser is very confusing to him in adorable TikTok
Your dog can never have too many cool gadgets if you want them to become as independent as possible, setting them apart from other pets. A Golden Retriever named Winston tried learning how to use a food dispenser while his dog mom struggled to hold back her laughter in a viral TikTok video, and it’s peak chaos. Confused, suspicious, or excited? Maybe the dog’s reaction screamed all things at once because it’s total madness.
The video’s subtext explained, “POV: Trying to teach my Golden Retriever how to use his new food dispenser.” Puzzled at first, the pup sniffed it before taking a couple of steps back and then approaching again, but this time by stomping his feet. Then, the dog mom pointed at the bright orange button on top. Although Winston reached for it, his paw just didn’t hit the right spot. He grew more agitated and growled at the button, but didn’t want to “hit it.”
As the Golden Retriever’s video progressed, it showed the dog mom’s struggles with getting him to push the button. After successfully doing it once (with his owner’s help), he hesitantly tried again, and it worked. Winton even tried to boop it using his nose, but the push just wasn’t hard enough. More feet stomps, paw scratches, and a couple of barks later, he finally learned the trick with his nose and repeatedly “booped” the button for more treats.
Commenters had their own theories about why the Golden Retriever struggled with the food dispenser for the longest time in the video. “He knows that pressing a red button is never a good idea,” wrote one user, while another voiced Winton’s inner thoughts, commenting, “Mom I don’t trust this thing.”
