One look, one sniff, and it might just be love at first sight for your furbaby. Pets are often quite suspicious when they encounter new things or people, but it isn’t so when they meet another four-legged friend. A single tail wag, one woof, and they’re best friends for life. This dog owner documented the moment their Labrador found his “soulmate” while on a boat ride in an absolutely adorable video that has since gone viral on Instagram. It was the kind of chemistry one would swim across oceans and sail through storms for.
Owner shows Labrador swimming to another boat to meet ‘soulmate’
A meet-cute straight out of a magical tale and a storybook moment tailor-made for two furry souls is exactly what the internet needed. There’s something so surreal about your pup meeting a fellow canine companion, and they hit it off right away. A pet owner documented one such moment, when their Labrador, Finn, spotted his “soulmate” in the middle of the sea and swam to the other boat to show his love in a viral Instagram video.
“POV: Your dog swims to someone else’s boat to meet his soulmate,” the in-video text read, providing some context for the clip. Meanwhile, the Instagram Reel showed the dog in his alert mode as soon as he noticed another pup, who clearly reciprocated his energy, on a nearby boat. Finn immediately jumped into the water, making a massive splash, and swam towards Morgan, whom he believed to be his fated love.
The video showed sparks flying between the Labrador and his soulmate, Morgan, from the moment they met. Finn reached the other boat and shared a kiss with the other dog before climbing on board with the help of the latter’s pet parents. The two fluffballs then appeared to be having the time of their lives as Finn turned around to his owners and flashed the brightest smile.
Commenters rushed to praise the furbaby for proving that chivalry isn’t dead after all. “Thank you, Finn, for reminding us ladies that ‘If he wanted to, he would,'” wrote one user, while a second user hilariously questioned if he ever returned to his own boat. Another individual joked, “Meanwhile, I can’t get a text back.”
