Video: Toddler Wants To Walk Dog but the Dog Ends up Walking Him Instead

Toddlers love to walk their pets, and this baby boy was no different. He, too, was keen to take his Golden Retriever out for a walk. However, things took a hilarious turn when the dog ended up walking the toddler in the video instead. The amusing moment was captured on camera, with the Instagram Reel garnering more than 26K likes.

Toddler’s walk with dog takes a rather interesting turn in video

This toddler named Shalom was ready to walk his Golden Retriever, Skylar, but their outing took an interesting turn. The moment has been recorded and uploaded on @skylars.the.limit by the parents, leaving netizens in stitches.

The clip shows Shalom eager to take Skylar “for a walk.” He even asked the pup, “Do you want to go for a walk?” and “brought Skylar her leash.” The little one then mimicked his parents’ action to tie the leash, thinking “he had clipped it to her.” However, in reality, that was not the case as the lead was not attached to the furbaby.

Despite this, Shalom “started going for a walk.” The toddler “was just so excited to walk to the door” with the leash that “he didn’t realize he wasn’t actually walking Skylar.” Looking at their son’s excitement, the parents decided to let their little one walk the furbaby.

And this is when the roles reversed. Soon after clipping the leash, it was Skylar who “decided to walk” her tiny human. As expected, Shalom was “just happy to follow her” with a leash in his hand. Their little walk made Skylar happy as well, as “she kissed him ‘thank you’” at the end.

Elvis Presley’s song “Can’t Help Falling in Love” plays in the background of this beautiful moment. The bond between the toddler and the dog made many shed happy tears. One person wrote, “This is so wholesome.” While another exclaimed, “Love this! At least he tried!” A dog lover also commented, “This video is everything. An Elvis song. A cute baby. An adorable dog. And the two of them being adorable nothing could be better.”
