Video: Maltipoo Gets a ‘Front Row Seat’ to a French Beach Club

Planning a vacation with your dog can be a bit of a gamble. You book the hotels, research the restaurants, and map out scenic walks, but your pup might have their own itinerary. Sometimes, it’s less about the perfect Instagram spot and more about where your dog’s nose (or mood) takes you. That’s exactly what happened in a recent video, where a Maltipoo named Hershey took charge of his owner’s beach day in France, and somehow ended up choosing the best seat on the coast.

Maltipoo enjoys the views at a beach club in France in video

A video shared by @minihersheybar.k on Instagram shows Hershey, a Maltipoo, embracing the French Riviera lifestyle during a vacation. The clip opens with the caption, “This is what happens when you say yes to your dog,” and from there, it’s clear who’s in charge of the day’s plans.

The reel begins with Hershey walking along the beach, pulling firmly on his leash like he already knows where he wants to go. His owner follows behind, slightly confused, while Hershey stays locked in on the view ahead. After a short pause, during which he glances out at the water, the owner realizes the pup is eyeing a nearby beach club.

When his owner asks if that’s where he wants to go, Hershey doesn’t hesitate. He bolts forward, leading the way and dragging his owner straight toward the entrance. With a few gestures, he made it clear that he wants a seat with a view. His owner gives in and treats him to a prime spot overlooking the water.

Hershey looks content as he lounges at the edge of the club, taking in the scenery and enjoying a snack. At one point, he even seems to smile. Later in the video, he dozes off by the water, and his owner reveals they spent five hours there.

With over 3 million views and 333K likes, viewers flooded the comments with jokes and their own dog-led adventures. One comment read, “He said I know a spot,” echoing how Hershey led the way confidently. Another praised his taste, saying, “Some dogs just know what they want and have incredible taste.”

Others shared their own “dog makes the rules” stories. One such user wrote, “My goldendoodle is bougie than me, so she makes the decisions.” On the flip side, another person joked, “When I let my dog lead yesterday, she dragged me into ditches to eat roadkill.”
