Video: Dachshund Runs Away but His Tiny Legs Make His ‘Hustle’ Back Home Adorable

You could give your furbaby the joys of the world and pamper them in the best ways possible, and they’d still make a run for it if you leave the door open. In their defense, the opportunity presented itself because of your carelessness. So, it becomes your job to bring them back, at least in most cases. However, this video of a Dachshund hustling back home on his tiny legs after running away had the internet cracking up. Some of the Instagram Reel’s comments will even make you roll on the floor laughing.

Dachshund runs away from home but ‘hustles’ back for this reason in video

Your furbaby might just be on a perpetual mission to escape the house. Every time you leave the door open is an opportunity that they’d never waste. However, no matter the scheming and plotting, they’ll somehow always wander back eventually, just like Stanley.

A video showed this Dachshund running away “again,” but ultimately had to “hustle” back home on his tiny legs for a very valid reason. Indeed, as most pet parents must have already guessed, the quick return had everything to do with food.

The clip showed the adorable dog slowly walking towards his owner, who documented the hilarious moment he took off on his adventure. Stanley appeared to be carefully crossing the street at a snail’s pace, inch by inch on his little legs, only because his “tummy was rumbling.”

He even wagged his tail a little out of excitement because he knew a meal would be ready for him when he returned home. As the Dachshund approached, bit by bit, hustling on his tiny legs in the video, he avoided direct eye contact with his owner.

It was highly probable he had food on his mind, didn’t really care much for anything else, and was likely planning something similar for the following day. This clip went viral on Instagram, garnering thousands of likes and reactions, with comments showcasing humor at its finest.

Commenters, on the other hand, jokingly shaded Stanley’s walk, and it kept getting more and more comical. “Can we get this in slow motion so I can actually see it? Thanks,” remarked one user, while another joked, “Can we expect Stanley in 3 business days???” A third individual wrote, “I’m glad he came back, you never would have caught him otherwise.”
