A dog owner documented her Golden Retriever’s first experience with donuts in a wholesome Instagram video. In the clip, the duo appeared to be sitting in an outdoor cafe setup when the dog mom, Lydia Morey, told the pup to take “gentle bites.” Morey then took a small portion of the sweet treat and offered it to him, advising him to take a single bite at first. Banks didn’t rush with his experience as he clearly wanted to savor the sweetness of the moment and carefully bit a tiny chunk before licking all the crumbs off his nose.
The following clips of the video showed the Golden Retriever going in for a second bite of the donut following his owner’s command. It was clear from his nose licks and paw taps that he didn’t just like the treat, but it was love at first sight. Banks then went in for a third bite while his mom, evidently satisfied by his reaction, smiled at the camera, before finally finishing it off with a fourth bite.
