Video: Pit Bull Makes up for Most of the Things Owner Needs

As most people who have ever shared their lives with a dog will tell you, they tend to fill more roles than just being your “pet.” Smuckers, a sweet Pit Bull with the softest eyes and a wagging tail, is proof of that. In a TikTok video celebrating National Dog Day, her human smartly shows how this strawberry-shirt-wearing pup manages to replace nearly every household essential.

From morning alarms to evening therapy sessions, Smuckers has it all covered. With her snuggly face and loyal heart, it’s easy to see how she can be affectionate, intuitive, and always eager to be part of her human’s world.

Owner lists things they don’t need when they have Pit Bull in video

This video of a Pit Bull quickly struck a chord online, racking up hundreds of likes and plenty of “so true” comments. It starts with Smuckers wagging away in a pink tee, before showing her standing guard over her human at bedtime. Who needs an alarm clock when you’ve got a Pittie gently nudging you awake?

Later, she’s caught snoring under blankets and cushions, proving a “sound machine” is overrated, too. But the most heartwarming moment is Smuckers resting her head on her human’s leg, with the caption reading, “A therapist.” That soulful gaze says it all — unconditional love for her parent, no judgment whatsoever.

She also doubles as a fitness buddy on walks. This saves her owner from having to pay for a gym membership. She also acts as a doorbell when strangers approach the front door. In the last clip, Smuckers becomes the best reason to cancel all other plans in favor of cuddles.

Pit Bulls often get misunderstood, but this pup proves that they can be protective, affectionate, and endlessly devoted. As one fan commented, “WHY IS EVERY ONE OF THOSE POINTS SO TRUE!!!”

Another wrote, “She’s doing her job!!! Beautiful!!!!!!” While a netizen asked a pertinent question, “Smuckers will you be my therapist too?” After watching her in action, you might just want to ask her this yourself.
