They say pets are their own kind of entertainment, and after seeing her Great Pyrenees’ latest stunt, Stephanie Seaholm couldn’t agree more. Who needs sitcoms when you have a 130-pound dog walking out of a chicken coop wearing an expression that could rival any TV character? Her new video shows that life on a ranch with animals can be far more fun (and far more unpredictable) than anything streaming online.
Owner catches Great Pyrenees inside tiny chicken coop ‘eating’ eggs and shares video for a ‘good laugh’
Stephanie Seaholm, a ranch owner from Utah who runs Earth Angels Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, recently shared a video capturing a hilarious moment on her property. While doing her rounds, Seaholm heard some strange rustling coming from her chicken coop. Expecting to find a few restless hens, she walked over only to discover her massive Great Pyrenees, Yeti, wedged inside the tiny coop.
At first, all that could be seen in the clip was a fluffy white tail poking out of the doorway. When Seaholm called out his name, the 130-pound gentle giant slowly turned around, giving her a sheepish look as if to say, “Nothing to see here.” Trying to keep a straight face, Seaholm asked if he was the one stealing eggs, but Yeti simply strolled out calmly, pretending he had done nothing wrong.
In her caption, Seaholm joked that she wanted to share the video because “everyone could use a good laugh.” She added, “I never in a million years thought I’d catch our 130 pound dog in the hen house. This is why I don’t watch TV. I have my own real life daily entertainment.”
The video has since made the rounds online, with viewers leaving witty comments about Yeti’s egg-stealing escapade. One person admitted, “I thought that was like, a Pomeranian, or some other small dog with a lot of hair. I was not expecting a bear to turn around.” Another joked, “I’m his lawyer and he is innocent,” playing along with the pup’s seemingly blameless expression.
Others couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer logistics of the scene. “That’s sort of impressive for a dog his size to fit in that little chicken coop,” one commenter observed. Meanwhile, another quipped, “God forbid a guy needs protein,” poking fun at Yeti’s apparent taste for eggs.
