Video: Rescue Puppy’s ‘New Crime’ Has To Do With the Kitchen Table

There’s a special kind of charm in the chaos that comes with having a dog at home. They sniff, climb, explore, and occasionally teach us that rules are more like suggestions. Tiki, a rescue puppy with a growing social media following, recently demonstrated in a video that no household surface is safe when curiosity (and cuteness) take over.

Rescue puppy’s ‘crime’ is that he cannot stop climbing on the kitchen table in video

Tiki, a playful rescue puppy with an inspiring backstory, has built a devoted following of 171K on Instagram. His journey from a fearful, traumatized dog to a confident and loving companion won over thousands online, thanks to videos shared by his foster mom, Isabelle Klee, on TikTok. After capturing hearts with his transformation, Tiki was adopted by Vince and Aubrie D’Angelo, who continue to share his adventures on Instagram (@tikiplustwo) while advocating for other rescue animals.

But even a dog as well-behaved as Tiki can have his mischievous moments. In a recent lighthearted video, his owners reveal his “new crime” of climbing onto the kitchen table. The clip shows Tiki carefully placing his paws on the tabletop, trying to balance himself while his owner gently tells him “no.” Even when nudged back, he refuses to move, standing proudly as if he’s fully aware of the humor in the situation.

In another instance, while his owner was eating at the table, Tiki positioned himself nearby, giving what she calls his “Care Bear stare.” The caption reads, “Maybe Tiki thinks every meal is family style.” Later, Tiki’s dad films him walking on the table and gently lifts him down, remarking that the height is too much for the pup to jump on his own. Despite their efforts, his owners admit that stopping him is nearly impossible because of how endearing he looks while doing it.

Tiki’s followers responded with a mix of amusement and admiration. One commented, “Omg, it has to be so hard to say no to that face, lol.” Another joked, “Next he will be opening cabinets.” Others defended the puppy’s antics, saying, “This is a victimless crime, and anyone who says otherwise will have to take it up with me.”
