Video: Goldendoodle’s Reactions to Mom Making Him Paint Pumpkin Is Worth Watching

We all know the struggle of being dragged into a forced activity. But the reluctant participant in this video has taken the path of passive resistance. The star is Luca, an adorable Goldendoodle who clearly has zero enthusiasm for his mom’s festive craft project. The sheer annoyance written all over his face as his human attempts to make him an artist is what makes this clip so funny.

The amusing moment, in which he and his mom, Jovita, wear matching pajamas, is shared on the Instagram handle @vitothedogfather. Jovita’s caption perfectly summarized her dog’s mood: “He might be annoyed.” Errr, we know he is!”

Owner thinks Goldendoodle ‘might be annoyed’ by painting pumpkin in video

Luca’s unimpressed expressions earned him nearly 15,000 likes and many fans. The story starts in the living room, where a large white pumpkin and paint are ready. We later find out that they are for Luca to create some masterpiece paw prints. He rolls his eyes as Jovita holds his paw and carefully puts paint on it. He even looks directly at the camera in a desperate plea for help. Jovita admits, “this is the first of many eye rolls.”

His eyes narrow into slits, making it hard for his mom to tell if “he’s sleepy or annoyed.” Once the paint is applied, he stamps the pumpkin. At the contact, he raises his eyebrows at his mom, looking utterly bewildered by the indignity of the situation. But Jovita keeps cheering him on with a “good boy,” she says. As the process repeats, he looks around like, “Is this it?” Jovita tries to stay positive, suggesting, “Maybe he’s bored.”

Despite his visible protest, Luca patiently allows his mom to finish her project. The comments are gold. “He’s like, whatever makes you happy, Mom,” wrote one viewer. Another added, “Doodles are the judgiest.” Luca sure looks “judgy,” but he seems not to mind the process — as long as there are treats waiting after cleanup.
