Opie, the Pit Bull, isn’t just ready for bedtime — he’s got terms and conditions. In a video shared by @justopiethings, the Connecticut-based snuggle connoisseur shows that he won’t so much as blink an eye shut until his human tucks him in just right.
Dressed in his pajamas, Opie sits on the couch, giving his human that unmistakable “you forgot something” look. It’s become a nightly ritual in their house, one that fans have come to adore, and as soon as the blanket comes out, he melts into full burrito mode. As his owner puts it: “He prefers to be toasty.”
Pit Bull won’t rest until owner ‘wraps him up into a little burrito’ in video
This adorable routine has earned over 40K likes, clearly establishing that dogs with demanding bedtime rituals are universally loved. The video begins with the sweet Pit Bull perched neatly on the couch, waiting.
The on-screen caption reads, “POV: your dog will not rest until he’s wrapped up into a little burrito.” Opie hops onto another couch, where his blanket is already spread out and flops down like he’s clocking in for his nightly snug shift. Opie, who was raised by his cat siblings and picked up some of their fussier habits, demands precision.
His human gently folds each side of the blanket over him. And then they adjust the last corner just so it tucks perfectly around his ears. After that, they step back to show off the perfect “burrito,” which viewers immediately adored, with one commenting, “Opie burrito, the best sort.” The next shot shows him sleeping cozily, snout tucked in.
He’s totally blissed out and seconds away from dreamland. When the camera pans closer, he cracks open one sleepy eye, as if to say, “Are you done filming yet?,” before finally surrendering to the nap.
His followers can’t get enough of it. Comments called him a “warm burrito” and a “yummy” pup. This strong, affectionate dog knows exactly what he wants for a good night’s sleep. He makes it clear that being comfortable isn’t optional, it’s mandatory.
