Bathroom For Service Dogs Opens In Chicago Airport

Airport restrooms are getting a lot more comfortable these days. Well, at least they are for dogs at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. O’Hare opened its Indoor Service Animal / Pet Relief Area, which is basically a doggy bathroom.

The rest area has small, faux-grass patches complete with sprinklers that pop up to wash away waste and tiny fire hydrants just to make it feel a bit more like the good outdoors for passing pups. It provides a nice place for service dogs to do their business without having to exit the airport and go through security all over again.

This is a much needed step in the right direction for accommodating service dogs and the people who need their assistance. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing a lot more doggy potties across the country that will help make flying a more pleasant experience for both humans and canines.
