Video: Greyhound Likes Her Bed So Much She Has More Than One

Some dogs just know what they like and how they want it. It speaks of a special kind of confidence, and Poppy’s got that in spades. The retired racer turned professional lounger has taken “living well” to new heights in a video shared by @misspoppy.thegrey on Instagram. It starts with the graceful Greyhound casually claiming her sibling’s bed, as if she’s been planning it all along. Her human explains in the caption that they got her one of her own, but that only made things worse, or better, depending on how you look at it. Poppy now has multiple beds, each ideally suited to her current mood and level of dramatic flair.

Greyhound has different ways to enjoy her beds in video

With nearly 90,000 likes, Poppy’s video struck a chord with dog and nap lovers everywhere. It starts with her confidently pawing at her sibling’s bed when she had just arrived at her forever home. The scene then cuts to her luxuriating on her very own plush version. Soon, her human reveals that Poppy loved it so much, she now has two — one for inside, and another for the patio. Naturally, they’re differentiated by color and her mood..

From there, we get a montage of sleeping styles worthy of a nap-time documentary. Sometimes she rests her head on the edge like she’s supervising household affairs; other times, her head dangles completely off the side, tongue out, living her best “I’m overworked and underpaid” life. And then there’s the pièce de résistance — her croissant pose. Curled so tightly into her bed, you’d never guess how long those elegant legs are.

Fans flooded the comments with laughter and love. “It’s a Greyhound thing! The smaller the bed, the better,” one wrote. Another added, “The Queen deserves all the beds she needs.” Honestly, they’re not wrong, because when comfort meets attitude, you get Poppy: the undisputed monarch of nap-time real estate.
